JR Helmig has spent his 25+ year career solving big data challenges for the world’s largest companies, as well as for the US departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Treasury, and the intelligence community. His cross-industry role is to develop and execute SAS’ global security and intelligence strategy at the convergence of Public and Private sectors and technology ecosystems. Formerly he was the Chief Analytics Officer for SAS’ Federal Government Unit.
Helmig is rated as a U.S. Government Master-Level Subject Matter Expert, with experience in high-speed high-volume analytics as well as strategy and technology development. While at the US Treasury Department, he was a Senior Advisor (GS-15) for the Office of the Director, Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), during FinCEN’s multiyear data and technology modernization.
His May 2014 webinar on Cross Institutional Data Analysis had ACAMS’ largest attendance to date, with 4,500+ registrants from over 2,000 companies in 100+ countries.
