Sven is a director with KPMG LLP’s Forensic Advisory Services practice. His previous experience includes an examiner role with the the NASD (National Association of Security Dealers) now FINRA.

Sven’s industry experience includes domestic and international banks, broker/dealers, insurance companies, trust companies, and hedge funds, focusing on regulatory compliance, fraud issues and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance.  He has developed and led numerous presentations and/ or provided reports to various government agencies such as DOJ, SEC, Federal Reserve, OCC, and FDIC, and specializes in AML, financial fraud, due diligence, FCPA and fraud/integrity risk management.

Sven has worked for a highly select client base of major financial institutions throughout the United States and the world. He has a wealth of experience leading complex, high‑profile global projects, providing advisory services to clients in the United States, throughout Europe and Russia, the Caribbean Islands, Central and South America, and Asia. Sven is fluent in English, German, Czech, and Slovak, and possesses a working knowledge of Russian and Spanish.

In addition, Sven is frequently asked to speak and/or to address regulatory compliance topics relating to AML and fraud in the current marketplace. In the last four years, He currently serves on the board of directors of the Florida International Bankers Association (FIBA) as well as cochair of the FIBA Broker/Dealer Committee.

Sven has substantial experience leading and coordinating Forensic advisory engagements in the financial services industry. He has served as leader for planning, execution, and delivery of investigations, bribery and corruption (FCPA) due diligence and AML gap assessments, independent assessments of financial institutions’ AML programs, validation of transaction monitoring systems and fraud investigations in the United States, throughout Europe and Russia, the Caribbean Islands, Latin America, and Asia. He has also provided subject matter knowledge and guidance to leading financial institutions on controls to comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and the USA PATRIOT Act.

Tyrone Fitzgerald
Grand Bahama Port Authority, General Counsel

Tyrone L. E. Fitzgerald attended the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada, and the University of Leeds, Leeds, England, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Bachelor of Laws degree, (with honours),  respectively.

 In 1995, Mr. Fitzgerald was called to the Bar of England and Wales and The Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. He later attended the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England, where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in Corporate and Commercial Law. Mr. Fitzgerald also attended Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, successfully completing advanced postgraduate studies in corporate and commercial law.

 He has lectured in banking law, trusts,  offshore practice and company administration, private client, anti-money laundering and compliance, and financial and wealth management at the School of Business at the College of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services

 Mr. Fitzgerald conducts Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, Corporate Governance, and Business Ethics Training Seminars for private and commercial banks, trust companies, accounting firms, investment banks, securities brokerage houses, government agencies and regulatory bodies in The Bahamas, Florida, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.

 He is also the Managing Director and President of FTP Corporate Services Ltd, a licensed financial and corporate service provider, and Chief Executive Officer of Fitzgerald Consulting Group, Ltd. , a financial services consulting company, subsidiary companies of the TLE Fitzgerald Group of Companies Ltd.

 Mr. Fitzgerald currently serves as General Counsel for The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited, a regulatory and quasi-governmental body, and Port Group Limited., a conglomerate on the Island of Grand Bahama.

Dr. Declan Hill

 Investigative Journalist and Documentary Maker

Declan Hill is an investigative journalist, documentary maker and academic. He specializes in the study of organized crime and international issues. His recent book ‘The Fix: Soccer & Organized Crime’ examined the corruption at the heart of international football and has become a best-seller in 14 languages. Before publishing ‘The Fix’ he completed documentaries on the killing of the head of the Canadian mafia, blood feuds in Kosovo and ethnic cleansing in Iraq. He has also made documentaries in Kurdistan, Bolivia, India, Mexico, and Turkey.

Declan has worked for CBC Radio (“Ideas”, “Tapestry”, “Dispatches”, “The Current”, “Iraq Unit”) CBC Television (“the fifth estate”, “Disclosure”, “Newsworld” and “Newsworld International”) and “PBS Frontline”. His programs and articles have appeared on BBC Radio World Service and BBC Radio 4: the Guardian and the Sunday Telegraph (London), as well as various new media outlets. In the last few years, Declan was a Chevening Scholar at Green College, University of Oxford where he obtained his doctorate on the study of match-fixing in professional football.

He is a professional member of several organizations to include the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He is also a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). He is currently a Director of the newly formed Antigua and Barbuda Association of Compliance Officers and a member of the International Financial Services Provider of Antigua and Barbuda.

He is an advocate on AML training and has conducted several training sessions both locally and internationally. He is also a lecturer and head of the Banking and Finance Department at the Antigua and Barbuda International Institute of Technology and a tutor for the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank Savings and Investment program.

Kem holds a fellow in Banking (FICB), he is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS). Recently, he decided to form his own company KAW Management Services Limited, specializing in areas of AML, Anti Fraud, Risk Management and Operations Management Consultancy.
