Tyrone Fitzgerald

Tyrone L. E. Fitzgerald attended the University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada, and the University of Leeds, Leeds, England, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Bachelor of Laws degree, (with honours), respectively.
In 1995, Mr. Fitzgerald was called to the Bar of England and Wales and The Bar of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. He later attended the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England, where he obtained a Master of Laws degree in Corporate and Commercial Law. Mr. Fitzgerald also attended Harvard Law School, Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts, successfully completing advanced postgraduate studies in corporate and commercial law.
He has lectured in banking law, trusts, offshore practice and company administration, private client, anti-money laundering and compliance, and financial and wealth management at the School of Business at the College of The Bahamas and the Bahamas Institute of Financial Services
Mr. Fitzgerald conducts Anti-Money Laundering, Compliance, Corporate Governance, and Business Ethics Training Seminars for private and commercial banks, trust companies, accounting firms, investment banks, securities brokerage houses, government agencies and regulatory bodies in The Bahamas, Florida, and the Turks & Caicos Islands.
He is also the Managing Director and President of FTP Corporate Services Ltd, a licensed financial and corporate service provider, and Chief Executive Officer of Fitzgerald Consulting Group, Ltd. , a financial services consulting company, subsidiary companies of the TLE Fitzgerald Group of Companies Ltd.
Mr. Fitzgerald currently serves as General Counsel for The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Limited, a regulatory and quasi-governmental body, and Port Group Limited., a conglomerate on the Island of Grand Bahama.
